Designing Shopster Templates and SEO

Designing original Shopster templates can be a daunting task for someone who doesn’t understand HTML, but very rewarding with the outcome it can get with SEO aspects of a template. One promising aspect is that the coding can be a lot cleaner and many design elements can be moved to the CSS, plus one can make a simpler layout without a lot of tables than those offered. Why should a person have an original design layout?

Well simply put, there are so many things a person can do with their own design than using the prefab templates. You have more control of the design nature, and making the layout more simplistic can be easier to change when wanting a new design change, plus when making too many changes to a prefab design you are more apt to making the coding have too many errors in the code. This can be frustrating when making changes when the pre established tables become whacked out. If a person can not design websites or are not very knowledgeable in HTML then finding other templates to load up may be the answer.

Another good reason to change to an original template other than adding to the templates offered is that you can have your store pull away from the rest by looking a lot different. Your Shopster store can have its own personality that can coincide with your likes or carry on the personality of the theme of your store. Most web designers should not have a problem fitting your personality of favorite color or making the store have its own personality. In fact it should be essential if you want your site to be a certain way that the web designer does everything they can to make your store template design be how you envisioned it.

I would be leery of those web designers that do not put what you would like to see in your website. Another thing I noticed is there are many website designers who just give you a design without placing in good alternate text into the images and graphics of the web design that need them. It is nice to have good graphics for the essentials of looking good but it isn’t good for the SEO of the site, not only that it breaks down the accessibility of it for the blind people, blind people need this text to be able to know why the image is there. One other tip with the graphics and images is to have good file names. Naming graphics like logo.jpg is ok but it is better sometimes to put more like; joes-hotsauce-logo.jpg or minnies-kitchen-accessories-logo.

Costs for SEO and Templates for Shopster Sites

Reasonable costs to have your own template can range anywhere from free to $200. This is all it should be as a person only needs to design one page, and depending on the difficulty of the graphics and images can raise your cost. What can raise the costs more is having more than one template for your store and if the layout is different than your generic template. So really, it can be affordable and easy to get a template made or use free templates offered at other sites. Sometimes you can take a couple of templates and make one just to change free templates a little bit.

Cost for SEO done on a Shopster site as like other websites can range quite high depending on what you want done. This cost can rise from more than a couple of templates that have to be made. Of course you can SEO it yourself if you know what to do, but as long as you have the basics done you will do OK for your internet marketing business.

When SEOing a website the SEO specialists will target certain keywords and phrases, or they will target what you would like to have. If the key phrase that you choose happens to not be in your best interest then the SEO consultant will advice you as such. With your SEO package and campaign there should be links created. This can come with the optimization that is being done. If the SEO consultant is not creating and gaining links on your behalf then you are not getting complete SEO services. Make sure you know exactly what is being done for the price you are paying, also most SEO experts rewrite your copy text to make the phrasing better for your key terms, or have to add content to those pages that don’t have any, so this task can be a lot of work.

To have a few templates search engine optimized for categories and designed can cost as low as $300, this can also add some links to help with the optimization. This will be for a few categories, probably no more than 4.
